Thieving Levelling Tips:

•Level 1 - 5 can be got quickly thieving from men or women. You will get caught on occasion but the aim here is simply to get some thieving levels and improve your abilities.

•Level 5 - 25 you can thieve from the Bakers stall in Ardougne or the Tea Stall at Varrock. After level 10 you can try thieving farmers for some seeds to help out with your farming skill.

•Level 25 - 40 you can steal silk from the stalls or pickpocket Warriors north each of Ardougne. At level 32 you will be able to move onto Rogues.

•Level 40 - 55 you can thieve from city guards. They do get annoying but the aim is to improve your thieving level. At level 45 you can switch to Fremenik for a change of scenery.

•Level 55 - 99 you can stick with Knights in Ardougne as they gradually get easier to thieve from as your level increases.

•Level 65 - 99 you may decide to switch to Yanille Watchmen as they give a bread on each successful pickpocket so you will not be required to provide your own food.

•Level 70 - 99 offers the choice of switching to Paladins as their reward is 80gp and 2 chaos runes on each successful pickpocket.


Thieving Experience Tips:

•Guards give 46.8 experience for each successful pickpocket and although annoying at times do give you a decent experience return per hour.

•Ardougne Knights give 84.3 experience per successful pickpocket and can be taken into a house so that you have relative control over their movement.

•Yanille Watchmen give 137.5 experience each and give a piece of bread on each successful pickpocket so reduce your need to bring food with you.

•Paladins give 151.8 experience on each successful pickpocket and are a good source of chaos runes over time.

•Heroes give 273.3 experience on each successful pickpocket and offer various useful rewards.



Runescape Thieving Money Making Tips:

•Thieving a nature rune from the chest at Ardougne when you reach level 28 thieving can enable you to accumulate a significant amount of nature runes over time. These can either be sold or used for your own requirements.

•Level 59 thieving will enable you to get 500 coins and 2 blood runes per successful trip. Over time this can provide a useful source of cash when selling the blood runes, or save you from having to buy the blood runes for your own mage requirements.

•Ardougne Knights give 50 coins on each successful pickpocket and can accumulate into significant amounts of cash over time.

•Paladins will give 80 coins and 2 chaos runes on each successful pickpocket and does mean that significant amounts of cash can be earned from selling the chaos runes. Alternatively, cash can be saved by thieving the chaos runes instead of buying them for your own use.

•Heroes and Elves both give various items that can be stocked and sold for good money.Blood runes, Fire orbs, Gold Ore, Nature Runes and Death Runes are among the loot that can be gained and will fetch good prices in the marketplace.

•King Lathas' Castle in Ardougne offers 1000 coins, uncut saphire, a raw shark and an adamantite ore as the loot. Selling the raw shark and the adamantite ore can fetch 2000 coins. Over time this can add serious wealth to your bank.

Other Runescape Thieving Tips:

•It is normally best thieving on a quieter world, especially if looting chests.

•When thieving Knights or any monsters in Ardougne try to entice them into a house so that you limit their movement.

•Always bring some food when thieving and eat it when necessary while stunned unless the monster you are thieving gives food in the reward.

•Rogues Den offers further ways to practice your thieving skill

•Remember to always right click to thieve from the monster otherwise you will keep attacking it and make training your thieving skill a much harder task.

•Some chests may contain traps - remember to disable the trap before opening the chest.

•Remember your lockpick if you are thieving from something that requires it.

•Quicker overall experience may be got from thieving lower level monsters as you will get caught less often.

•When thieving you may wish to equip a bow without having any arrows equipped. This will mean that when you accidently attack the target you will get the message that you have no arrows in your quiver. This should prevent you killing your thieving target.
